The Developing Diversity directory lists a snapshot of 100 mosques in England that provides good services to Muslim women. Over 480 mosques were contacted by phone and through face to face meetings over 2009 / 2010 and the mosques were benchmarked against 5 core areas that women wanted to see within mosques. (The five areas are outlined within the directory).

The directory is formatted to list 4 and 5 star mosques which meet four or five of the criteria that were gathered through focus meetings with over 100 Muslim women. We hope that you find the directory useful and we also hope that it provides much needed information to Muslim communities in England. Finally, it will also allow mosques to contact those within the directory so that best practice can be shared.
